Yielding feels safer than expanding…

If you have a history of developmental trauma, it's extremely important to work with the former before expanding your system.

This can be one of the reasons you are not getting enough results with somatic healing work.

The desire to heal and expand into new life and meaningful projects is of great importance.

And for some of you even being able to go back to doing things you used to enjoy is a simple wish you can’t wait to fulfil.

But going too quickly into expansion in your somatic work can have the opposite effect.

If the work with the felt sense of yielding is ignored, you won’t have a good base to hold your expansion. And this is the problem I have been seeing all around with the hype in somatic healing work and the lack of understanding around developmental trauma.

Take it slow, using appropriate titration will bring so much more positive change than trying to expand too quickly, when the system is not yet ready.

You will be surprised how things can move quite smoothly once you embody “yielding”. 😇
