Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a method developed by Dr Peter Levine. It has been used with great success for over 40 years.

This was a life saver on my own healing journey.

After decades of testing all sort of healing methods, trying to heal from developmental trauma, emotional issues and chronic illness; I finally came across SE, just when I was about to give up the search.

I didn’t think it would help, in fact I thought it was way too simple for it to work.
Little did I know, it was exactly what I needed. It was the biggest missing piece.
That’s why I decided train in it and started to spread the good news. ☺️

SE is an organic and gentle approach to trauma resolution and relief of chronic stress symptoms.

It works by:

🌿 Showing, not telling, how safety feels like in your body.

🌿 Creating a safe space for your body to metabolise incomplete fight/flight/freeze/shutdowm “stuck” responses in your system.

🌿 Gently inviting you to get in touch with sensations and internal signals within your own body (interoception).

🌿 Normalising your experience. Having the mind on board makes a huge difference.

🌿 Showing your body little by little how good sensations feel like, which leads to an increased sense of aliveness and joy.

🌿 Expanding somatic psychoeducation and vocabulary, so that you can learn what’s happening within you and have language to explain your experience.

🌿 Building resilience in your nervous system, by teaching how to feel discomfort and difficult emotions, without falling into unhelpful patterns.
