A few "side effects" of being disconnected from your body:

• Difficulty in separating your own emotions from the emotions of others.

• Inability to set boundaries.

• Struggling to take responsibility for your own emotions.

• Difficulty to express your needs.

• Tendency to blame others for how and what you feel.

Emotions are only felt in the body. When we are disconnected from our own bodies we can’t really discern, process or hold space for our emotions or for the emotions of others.

More embodiment is the base for healthy relationship with self and others.
