The human body has an incredible capacity to heal itself…

But for healing to occur, your body needs to enter its “healing state”…

… This is called Parasympathetic state.

Your autonomic nervous system has two main parts:

🌟Parasympathetic (rest + digest): repair, recovery, and healing.

🌟Sympathetic (survival mode): fight, flight, or freeze/shutdown .

In ancient times, sympathetic activation helped us escape danger (like running from a tiger), but in our modern fast-paced lives we often get chronically stuck in fight/flight, a survival mode.

When this happens, you may experience:

😅 Irritability
😅 Sense of urgency
😅 Anxiety
😅 Feelings of inadequacy
😅 Overwhelm
😅 Poor memory
😅 Dissociation (disconnection from your body, thoughts and/or feelings).

You cannot heal (physically, mentally, and emotionally) in survival mode.

It’s important to learn to be aware of when you get stuck in survival, because the faster you can shift from this state into parasympathetic, the better you can “rewire” your system.

In a parasympathetic state you experience:

☺️ Effortless emotional control
☺️ More focus
☺️ Boosted immunity
☺️ Deeper and restorative sleep
☺️ Improved digestion
☺️ Sense of safety
☺️ Physical, mental and emotional healing

The deeper you go into this healing work, the more adaptable and resilient your nervous system becomes.
